Testimonials

"I have been doing lessons with Edna for twelve years now and I haven’t looked back. Alongside being an amazing teacher, Edna has been an incredible mentor in my life who has helped shape me into the man I am today. Edna played a key role in helping me get into my dream school, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and I am forever grateful for everything she has done for me."

"Our 8-year old daughter has been taking piano lessons with Miss Edna for the past 3.5 years. We’ve watched her transform from a complete beginner to an experienced student now playing complicated pieces by Beethoven and Bach in her upcoming recital! We are so grateful to have Edna in our lives as under her patient guidance, our daughter has found a love of music and desire to keep playing and improving. I’ve recommended her to other parents whose children have also become long term students. Five stars from this family who are singing Edna’s well-deserved praise. Bravo!"

"I have always loved music, but at some point, my passion for it seemed to dwindle and I didn't enjoy playing piano anymore, but when I started taking lessons with Edna everything changed. Her love and evident passion for piano were contagious, and she has inspired me to push myself further and challenge myself with difficult pieces. Even when I feel defeated by the pieces, Edna helps me overcome obstacles that I couldn't do on my own, and inspires me to try new techniques and become a better pianist. Not only does she encourage to learn the proper technique, but she also encourages students to play with emotion and spirit. I'm very thankful to have had such an amazing and kind teacher as her."

"My daughter has taken piano lessons with Edna for more than three years. She started when she was almost 9 years old and had no prior experience. My daughter’s progress has been amazing and far exceeded my expectations.

Edna’s love and passion for music is contagious and comes through in her teaching. She not only teaches music theory, but will often share a little background of the different composers while teaching the music. She has exposed my daughter to a variety of classical pieces, while also allowing her to select songs that she would like to learn. If needed, Edna can arrange the music to fit my daughter’s level while also keeping it challenging for her. Edna expects a lot from her students, but she is wonderful at encouraging and building up their confidence along the way. She is professional and positive and has a knack for bringing out each student’s individual strengths. I am happy that we found Ms. Edna and I highly recommend her. Our family always looks forward to the recitals in the spring to see our daughter perform and to witness the progress she has made throughout the year."

"Edna has been teaching my three children for over ten years. She brings her passion and expertise to each lesson, guiding her students as they develop their own skills. From pop songs, to classical music, to jazz, Edna is able to adapt to my children’s musical tastes and make them passionate about playing piano, too."

"Hi my name is Hannah and I am 15 years old.  I have been playing piano for eight years and  with Edna for the past 4 years. She has helped me improve on technique, sight reading, and has allowed me to flourish as a pianist. We have been able to transpose pieces in order to fit my style of playing. Last year I enjoyed playing two pieces at the annual recital, one was a duet.  I enjoy learning with her because she is patient and is overall an amazing teacher."

"Edna is a one of a kind piano teacher who has both passion and knowledge. I have been with Edna for over four wonderful years and have had the opportunity to not only learn how to love music but also feel it. Edna truly knows how to teach with much enthusiasm for music and help her students develop skills and understanding. While being patient and inspirational, she motivates and rewards all our efforts. Edna taught me Beethoven's famous words, "It is forgivable to make a mistake, it is unforgivable to play without feeling." Edna is a truly exceptional and wonderful teacher."
